Mr. Beyen is also Commissioner at Vlaams Instituut voor Biotechnologie - Flanders Institute and on the board of 5 other companies.

In the past Mr. Beyen held the position of MD, Executive Director & Chief Business Officer at TiGenix NV, Head-Life Sciences Division at Arthur D. Little, Inc. and Head-Life Sciences Division at Arthur D. Little Benelux NV (a subsidiary of Arthur D. Little, Inc.) and Manager at Gil Beyen BVBA.

He received an MBA from The University of Chicago, a graduate degree from Université Catholique de Louvain and a graduate degree from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
