James F. Dempsey

James F.
Dempsey was the founder of ViewRay Technologies, Inc. (founded in 2004) where he held the title of Secretary, Director & Chief Scientific Officer from 2014 to 2015.
He is also the founder of ViewRay, Inc. (founded in 2004) and currently holds the title of Chief Scientific Officer since 2020.
Prior to his founding positions, Dr. Dempsey worked at the University of Florida from 2001 to 2008, where he held the title of Associate Professor from 2007 to 2008.
Dr. Dempsey obtained a doctorate degree from the University of Washington and an undergraduate degree from San Jose State University.
