She previously occupied the position of Director-Human Resources at Lifescan, Inc., Head-Human Resources for Elan Pharmaceuticals, LLC, Vice President-Human Resources for Complete Genomics, Inc. and Head-Human Resources of Janssen Alzheimer Immunotherapy.

She received an undergraduate degree from California Polytechnic State University (San Luis Obispo) and an MBA from San Jose State University.
