Beck is the founder of Aecon Group, Inc. Current positions include Chairman of Derech Eretz Operator Ltd. and Canadian Highways Infrastructure Corp., Director of The Royal Conservatory of Music, Canadian Olympic Foundation, PPP Canada, Inc. (since 2015), and The MacDonald-Laurier Institute, Council Member of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, and Member of the Business Council of Canada.
Former roles include Chairman of Ontario Power Authority (2007–2010), Co-Chairman-Infrastructure & Urban Development at Forum Mondial de L'Economie, Director at Ontario Financing Authority, The Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships, Canadian Opera Co., and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Independent Non-Executive Director at Consolidated Infrastructure Group Ltd. (2019–2020), and President of Club Canadien De Toronto.
Education includes undergraduate studies at McGill University.
