Before joining Edgemoor in 2004, Mr. Coughlin was a banker for forty years, most recently President of Riggs National Corporation and CEO of Riggs Investment Advisors, Inc. which managed assets of over $1 billion.
He was previously employed as a President by Riggs National Corp.
He holds a BA from Brown University and an MBA from the New York University Leonard N.
Stern School of Business, and he served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves.
He is also a Certified Financial Planner.
