Leonardo S.p.A. is één van de Europese leiders in het ontwerpen, produceren en verkopen van defensiesystemen voor de lucht- en ruimtevaart. De netto-omzet is als volgt over de productfamilie verdeeld:
- defensiesystemen (44,4%): wapens, radar, enz;
- helikopters (30,8%): voor civiel en militair gebruik;
- luchtvaartuitrusting (20,8%): vliegtuigen, enz;
- overige (4%).
Eind 2022 had de groep 105 productievestigingen in Italië (54), Europa (8), de Verenigde Staten (32) en overige (11).
De netto-omzet is geografisch als volgt verdeeld: Italië (14%), het Verenigd Koninkrijk (11,4%), Europa (21,6%), de Verenigde Staten (26,9%) en overig (26,1%).
