Beschrijving van de bedrijfsactiviteiten: SSAB AB

SSAB AB is gespecialiseerd in de productie en distributie van speciaal staal. De netto-omzet is als volgt over de verschillende activiteiten verdeeld
- staalverwerking (78,6%): verwerking van staal- en aluminiumplaten voor de industrie of de bouw (de groep is de grootste producent van staalplaten in Scandinavië), productie van gelaagd staal, metaalplaat en gehard staal dat voornamelijk wordt gebruikt in apparatuur voor de bouw- en mijnbouwindustrie (wereldwijd de grootste producent) en productie van veiligheidscomponenten voor de auto-industrie;
- handel in staalproducten (12,8%): metalen, bouwproducten, gereedschap, machines, enz. Tibnor is de belangrijkste Zweedse staalhandelaar;
- verkoop van bouwmaterialen (5,3%; Ruukki Construction);
- overige (3,3%).
De netto-omzet is geografisch als volgt verdeeld: Zweden (13,9%), Finland (9,5%), Europa (34,6%), de Verenigde Staten (29,8%) en overige (12,2%).
