The Victoria County Master Gardener Association is a nonprofit volunteer organization affiliated with the A&M AgriLife Extension Service, dedicated to gardening education and community outreach. A central feature is the Victoria Educational Gardens, a public, free-admission garden complex near the Victoria Regional Airport, which includes 19 themed mini-gardens and specialty areas such as the Butterfly Haven and the Military Honor Garden. The non-profit company is based in Victoria, TX. Established in 1997, it has over 140 members and focuses on educating both members and the public through training classes, educational presentations, and community projects. The gardens demonstrate sustainable gardening practices and serve as an educational and recreational resource with tours, workdays, and events. The association offers programs including the annual Master Gardener training class, "Lunch and Learn with the Masters" sessions, plant sales, and a fall gardening symposium. Community projects include the paver project honoring military personnel and loved ones, and a memorial college scholarship supporting students in horticulture and agriculture. The organization maintains an active online presence with newsletters, photo galleries, social media engagement, and educational resources, and encourages volunteer involvement and community support through donations, plant sales, and participation in gardening activities.
