Edgar M. Larsen

Ed Larsen is chief investment officer and president of A I M Capital Management, Inc., overseeing AIM's portfolio strategy and investment policy.
He also serves as senior portfolio manager involved with the management of several AIM funds.
Mr. Larsen joined AIM in 1996 and became vice president and chief equity officer in 1997.
He was promoted to his current position in 2002.
He brings more than 35 years of investment experience to his position.
He began his career at Harris Associates in Chicago, where he worked with the Acorn Fund and ultimately became a partner of that NYSE-member firm.
He then joined the Continental Bank to manage performance funds, followed by a seven-year London assignment where he served as executive vice president of Continental Bank's global asset management subsidiary.
Mr. Larsen returned to the United States in 1981 as a managing director and portfolio manager for the Criterion Group of Houston.
Criterion became a public company, was acquired by Transamerica Corporation, and ultimately was sold to the John Hancock Company.
Throughout that time, he managed a substantial corporate account load and several mutual funds, including several highly-rated funds.
A native of Chicago, Mr. Larsen received his B.A. in economics with honors from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago in 1968.
Mr. Larsen is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of the U.S.
and U.K.
Analytic Societies.
He is a frequent speaker at industry events, as well as an active participant on both the television and print market media.
