Ganson Evans

Mr. Ganson Evans is a Senior Analyst at Impala Asset Management LLC.
He has primary coverage of shipping, trucking, railroad, logistics, freight and other transportation related companies.
Prior to joining Impala in 2005, Mr. Evans was employed at Deutsche Bank where he was a Vice President in the North American Equity research group following the Transportation and Logistics space.
Prior to Deutsche Bank, between 1998 and 2004, Mr. Evans held a variety of executive positions at CSX Corporation, including Vice President of Marketing, Pricing and Strategy at the company’s rail unit, and Sr. Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service at the company’s intermodal unit.
From 1996 -1998, he was AVP of Sales and Marketing at Consolidated Rail Corporation.
Mr. Evans’ career prior to 1998 includes executive assignments for marine terminal, trucking, warehousing and consulting activities.
Between 1981 and 1987, he was an active duty Naval Officer serving in a variety of roles, including Ships Navigator and Intelligence Officer.
Mr. Evans graduated from the J.L.
Kellogg graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and holds a B.S.
from Maine Maritime Academy, Castine Maine.
