Jason S. Ziegler

Mr. Ziegler is a Director of Business Development at Highland Capital Management, L.P.
Since joining Highland, Mr. Ziegler has worked for two years as a Senior Analyst in the Structured Product Group on the Trading Desk and in Portfolio Surveillance.
Prior to joining Highland in March 2007, Mr. Ziegler was an Associate in the Structuring and Origination Group in the Global Structured Finance division of Banc of America Securities LLC in Dallas, TX.
Mr. Ziegler's main focus within the group was structuring Single-Seller Conduit Programs ($5.0 - $25.0 billion) and Whole Loan Repurchase Programs (up to $1.25 billion) for large mortgage originators.
After closing he was responsible for managing the transactions on an ongoing basis by monitoring collateral parameters and various deal specific triggers.
Prior to moving to Dallas, TX, Mr. Ziegler worked for Bank of America in Charlotte, NC where he was responsible for managing the bank's portfolio of Interest Rate Swaps used in securitizations, which included Asset-backed Securities, CDOs, and various ABCP programs.
In addition, Mr. Ziegler worked with Bank of America on the High Grade Bond/CP desk as a Credit Analyst, which required him to carefully research Investment-Grade companies and to recommend allocation limits for the respective names.
In this role, Mr. Ziegler worked directly with Principals and Managing Directors to determine the credit quality and staying power of each company prior to making hold recommendations of up to $500 million per issuer.
Mr. Ziegler has more than ten years of banking experience that includes both public and private companies.
Mr. Ziegler received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and an MBA from Winthrop University.
