John D.
Benson is Senior Director of Biology for Mersana Therapeutics, Inc. Most recently, he served as Program Team Head and Sr. Research Investigator for Small Molecule Therapeutics in Oncology Drug Discovery at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research.
From 1999 to 2003, Dr. Benson served as Director of Molecular and Discovery Biology for Enanta Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He served as Team Head for the Novartis Oncology siRNA Therapeutics Program.
Dr. Benson was a Principal at Harvard Medical School and Damon-Runyon Walter Winchell Fellow at the National Cancer Institute.
He received his PhD degree in Genetics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
