John Kovacs

Dr. John Kovacs is a Senior Commodities Economist at Capital Economics Ltd. He joined the commodities team at Capital Economics in October 2015, specializing in industrial metals and agricultural commodities.
Previously, he was a Principal Consultant at CRU where he was responsible for analyzing the finished steel market.
He has also worked at Czarnikow, a sugar trading and advisory company, and at the Ministry of Agriculture.
Dr. Kovacs holds a PhD and an MA in agricultural economics from Manchester University and a BA in economics from Cambridge University.
