Mr. Maddox is a Senior Managing Director of FTI Strategic Communications.
Since 1985, Mr. Maddox has specialized in national media relations for public and private companies, governments, and trade associations.
Throughout Mr. Maddox’s three-decade career, he has handled media assignments at several leading communications firms and has been with FTI since 1994.
Mr. Maddox’s assignments range from campaigns to generate visibility to managing communications during crises.
Mr. Maddox specializes in assisting clients in building national and international media profiles that support their communications objectives.
For clients with legislative interests, Mr. Maddox has implemented programs to convey perspectives convincingly in national and international media forums, in both print and broadcast.
Mr. Maddox has worked extensively on op-ed development and has a strong track record for top-tier placement such as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Financial Times.
For many Fortune 500 companies and major companies based abroad, Mr. Maddox has managed executive and corporate communications across the spectrum of leading media outlets.

Mr. Maddox has handled communications surrounding operating and product issues, transactions, and litigation (including regulatory interventions).
Mr. Maddox is an appointee to the Mayor’s Volunteer Committee in Dobbs Ferry, NY, and is on the boards of the Old Croton Aqueduct, The Dobbs Ferry Historical Society and the UNUSA, the United Nations Association in Westchester.
Mr. Maddox earned a B.A. in Philosophy (Logic/Ethics) from Pomona College and an M.A. in French, Spanish and English from UCLA.
