Mary dee Hacker

Mary Dee Hacker is Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer for the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.
She has been a Director of Versant Advantage, Inc. since 2004 and the Diseases Attacking the Immune System (DAISY) Foundation since 2006.
She has been a Member of the Association of California Nurse Leaders (formerly the Organization of Nurse Executives of California) since 1991and Chairman since 2000.
Ms. Hacker has been a Member of the Grassroots Advisory Panel for the National Association of Children's Hospital & Related Institutions from 1997 to 1998.
She has been a Director of the O'Rourke Institute for the Advancement of Professional Practice since 2001.
Ms. Hacker is a Member of the Selection Committee for the 2005 Victor E.
Schimmel Memorial Nursing Scholarships.
She has been a Member of the Advisory Committee for the Department of Nursing at California State University, Los Angeles since 1990.
Ms. Hacker joined the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles as a Staff Nurse in 1975.
She was Nurse Manager of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles from 1979 to 1982.
Ms. Hacker was appointed as Vice President of Patient Care Services for the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles in 1993.
She was a Member of the Health Policy Committee for the Association of California Nurse Leaders from 1998 to 2001.
Ms. Hacker was a Member of the Nurse Shortage Task Force for the Hospital Association of Southern California from 1999 to 2004 and a Member of the Ad Hoc Advisory Committee on Nursing for the California Hospital Association from 1998 to 1999.
She was a Member of the Advisory Committee for the Department of Nursing at Pasadena City College from 1993 to 2003.
Ms. Hacker was appointed as a Fellow at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1998.
She received a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the College of St. Catherine in 1974 and an MBA from Loyola Marymount University in 1982.
