Michael Bayerlein

Mr. Michael Bayerlein is a Research Fellow at Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
He joined the firm in 2017.
His research focuses on populism and extremism, political economy, political parties, and European Union.
Since 2019 he is also a Research Fellow at the Chair of Comparative Politics at the University of Kiel.
From 2013 to 2015, he was a Research Assistant at the Chair of Quantitative Methods at the University of Mannheim.
He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Mannheim and an M.A. in Political Science and Law from the University of Kiel.
