Michelle Jacobi

Michelle is a Managing Director and is responsible for leading Gatewood’s fundraising and marketing initiatives, as well as assisting in business development and transaction origination.
Michelle has deep fundraising experience, with a particular focus on raising capital on behalf of specialized and emerging alternative investment managers.
Prior to joining Gatewood, Michelle was a Vice President at Cebile Capital, a global placement agent and secondaries advisory firm, where she led North American fundraising efforts for lower mid-market and emerging managers.
Prior to Cebile Capital, she worked at VCP Advisors, a boutique placement agent where she was instrumental in building and strengthening the firm’s North American distribution network, as well as managing and closing fundraises across multiple specialist private equity strategies.
Before joining VCP, Michelle worked in leveraged finance at Jefferies in New York and Mizuho Bank in London, where she conducted credit analysis and underwrote financing commitments for leveraged buyout transactions across Europe and North America.
Michelle graduated from the London School of Economics with a LLB in Laws and a MSc in Comparative Political Science.
