Peter Werner

Dr. Peter Werner is a Research Associate at Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung GmbH.
He works in close cooperation with the research unit "Market Design".
He works as an associate professor at Public Economics at Maastricht University.
His main research interests lie in behavioural and experimental economics.
The goal of his research is to apply insights about behavioural regularities to the design of organisations, markets and public policy.
In addition to his applied work, he conducts fundamental research on the nature of social preferences.
He was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Cologne and a visiting researcher at Pennsylvania State University.
In October 2016, he joined the Department of Microeconomics and Public Economics at Maastricht University.
He received his PhD at the University of Cologne in 2009.
