Lopategui is a Chief Executive Officer at Lumyna Investments Ltd. Mr. Lopategui joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in October 2012.
He is head of the alternative investment funds platform and provides financing solutions to hedge funds and institutions.
He joined from RBS where he headed equity Delta 1 and financing prime services for EMEA. Previously, Mr. Lopategui spent 21 years at Morgan Stanley.
He headed up the equity cash and derivatives sales efforts in Paris and moved back to London where he ran product marketing and sales globally for the equity finance group.
He became product manager for structured products and deputy head of European derivatives distribution.
He completed a Masters in Economics at University of Aix-en-Provence in France, and then obtained his MBA degree in International Finance from University of Chicago.
