Karetsky is Shareholder & Wealth Manager at Wetherby Asset Management, Inc. He became a shareholder of Wetherby Asset Management in 2004 after forming The Karetsky Group, LLC, a wealth management advisory firm, in 2003.
Prior to joining Wetherby Asset Management, Mr. Karetsky was a Managing Director and Principal of European Investors, a real estate securities asset management firm.
In his tenure at Morgan Stanley he became Global Head of Private Client Services, a member of the Equity Division Operating Committee and in earlier years had management responsibility in the International Equity and Global Services Departments.
He also was a Managing Director and member of the Management Committee at OFFITBANK, a private trust bank specializing in fixed income asset management.
He began his career at Goldman Sachs and was a founder of the Restricted Stock Group within the Institutional Equities Department.
Mr. Karetsky received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Yale.
He is a member of the Board of Directors and Investment Committees of St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children and the American Jewish Historical Society.
He is also on the Board of Directors of Harding, Loevner Funds, Inc., a mutual fund complex.
