Steven Schmitz

Mr. Schmitz has over 30 years of experience in the petroleum refining industry having held a variety of positions in management, trading, and corporate planning.
Steve comes from Phibro, a commodity trading company, where he was responsible for business development.
Prior, he was managing the U.S.
business development activities for Glencore U.S.
Ltd where he focused on refinery acquisitions, inventory management deals, renewable fuels, and terminal development.
As a core member of the PBF Energy, Tosco Refining, and Hill Petroleum refinery acquisition teams, Steve has participated in the assimilation and operation over fifteen refineries.
This experience has led to an expertise in restructuring refinery operations and management, modeling, risk management, and the development and execution of refinery hedging programs.
He holds a B.S in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University (1984) and a Masters of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University (1988).
