Tom Leighton

Frank Thomson Leighton, oprichter van Akamai Technologies, Inc., is momenteel Chief Executive Officer & Director bij dit bedrijf. Dr. Leighton is tevens bestuurslid van de American Academy of Arts & Sciences, Technology Ceo Council en de Society for Science & the Public en lid van de National Academy of Sciences en lid van de National Academy of Engineering. In zijn vorige loopbaan was hij hoogleraar aan het Massachusetts Institute of Technology, voorzitter van de Special Interest Group van de Association for Computing Machinery, Inc. en lid van het MIT Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Dr. Leighton behaalde een doctoraal aan de Princeton University en een doctoraat aan het Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
