First Robotics is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing young people ages 5 to 18 for future success through inclusive, team-based robotics and STEM education programs. The non-profit company is based in Manchester, NH. Since its founding in 1989, the organization has engaged youth across more than 100 countries through hands-on robotics challenges that foster creativity, engineering skills, leadership, and problem-solving. First Robotics offers three primary programs: FIRST LEGO League for grades K-8, which introduces STEM concepts through guided robotics challenges; FIRST Tech Challenge for grades 7-12, which involves designing, building, and programming robots for annual competitions; and FIRST Robotics Competition for grades 9-12, where high school teams build industrial-sized robots for alliance-based competitions. The organization emphasizes core values such as gracious professionalism and coopertition, supports youth safety, and provides resources including training, scholarships, and career pathway connections.
