William P.
Osborne has been a Director of SigmaTel, Inc. since September 2001 and Chairman since January 2007.
Since August 2005, he has served as Dean of the College of Engineering of Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
From April 2004 to July 2005, Mr. Osborne served as Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
From June 2002 to April 2004, he served as Dean of the School of Computing and Engineering at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
From August 1995 to June 2002, he served as Dean of the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
Mr. Osborne received Bachelor's and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University.
