Mr. Tso joined CDIB Ventures in 1999 and brings more than twelve years of direct investment and private equity experience in the high-tech arena.
His previous position was a country manager for BCEA fund in Singapore, a private equity arm of ING-Barings Asset Management Group specializing in media and communications investments in the Asia-Pacific region.
During that time, he was in charge of overall investment activities in Taiwan, including project evaluation, financial modeling, industry research and due diligence.
He has worked with businesses that included the operation of mobile services, paging, cable and terrestrial TV.
Mr. Tso began his career at China Development Industrial Bank in Taiwan and held different positions in the credit & research, domestic direct investment and overseas business departments.
This experience includes credit analysis, high-tech research, short-term business cycle analysis for public companies and domestic and foreign portfolio management.
His successful investments and divestments include China Television/Taiwan, Acer Computer Intl., Want-Want, Roly Intl./Singapore, ACB/Malaysia and NASDAQ-listed firms Watsons, Nexmed and Tanox.
He earned his M.B.A.
degree from National Cheng-Chi University in Taiwan and received an engineering degree and a Book Coupon Award from the National Taiwan University.
Mr. Tso completed the director training program at UCLA in 2001 and was certified as a qualified director.
Mr. Tso was once the board director of Clarisay and is currently the board observer at IntelliEPI, Oepic and a public company Axesstel.
His successes with CDIB Ventures include Webex and Magma.
