Dr. Jo P.
Silmon-Clyde is the Head of Retirement Liability Driven Investments at Aviva Investors Global Services Ltd.
He joined the investment industry in 1999 and has over 10 years of investment and pensions experience, spanning pensions actuarial work, solution design, portfolio optimisation and fund management.
At Aviva Investors, he is responsible for establishing a liability-driven investment (LDI) solution framework for pension fund clients making use of the wide asset class competencies and asset allocation skills within Aviva Investors.
Before joining Aviva Investors in November 2009, he was the Lead LDI Fund Manager at Schroder Investment Management, where he was responsible for the design, launch and management of a market-leading series of leveraged pooled LDI funds.
He also worked at Man Investments where he was responsible for portfolio construction.
He started his career at Aon Consulting where he trained as an Actuary.
Dr. Silmon-Clyde holds a First Class degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mathematics from Imperial College, London.
He is an Associate of the Institute of Actuaries.
