Kristina Kneip

Prior to joining JER in August 2008, Ms. Kneip was with ACA Compliance Group where she served as a senior principal consultant.
In this role, she was responsible for mock inspections of investment advisers, hedge funds and private equity funds, and anti-money laundering examinations of transfer agents and investment companies.
Her career includes 6 years as a securities regulator, serving as an Enforcement Attorney and Chief of Examinations and Inspections for the State of Washington Securities Division.
She also held a staff attorney position with the SEC’s Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations.
Prior to becoming a regulator she was a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch and later practiced law, with a focus on corporate law and taxation.
She was a panelist at the SEC Hedge Fund Roundtable in May 2003 and often speaks to industry, investors and regulators regarding hedge funds, private equity, and other investment adviser regulatory matters.
Ms. Kneip holds a BA in Business Administration, from the University of Washington, and graduated cum laude from the Gonzaga University School of Law earning her Juris Doctorate, in 1994.
She was awarded an LL.M in Corporate Finance and Banking, from the London School of Economics, in 1995.
