Miguel Jiménez

Dr. Miguel Jiménez is a Lead Economist at Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA. He was previously employed as Economist by the OECD Economics Department, where he contributed to reports on the Spanish, Swiss and Greek economies and on issues related to labor markets, immigration, pensions, competition policy and sustainable development.
Dr. Jiménez was also a Lecturer of Macroeconomics and Growth Theory at the European University of Madrid and has published his research on academic journals such as the European Journal of Political Economy and Applied Economics and Chairman of the Council of European Economists of the Conference Board.
Dr. Jiménez holds a BA degree in Economics from Universidad Autónoma of Madrid, Master's degree in Public Economics from Institute of Fiscal Studies in Madrid and PhD in Economics from European University Institute in Florence.
