Prior to NEA, Faisal Baig worked as an investment banker at Citigroup in New York, and before that, as an engineer in General Electric Transportation Systems.
He holds an MBA in finance from Yale University and a BSc in electrical engineering from Michigan State University

Faisal Ali Al-Matrook is currently the Chairman at Contech Engineering Co. LLC, Advanced Technical Services Group, Jasaf Group, and serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Depa United Group PJSC.
He is also a Director at Jasaf Building Technology Co. LLC, Reef Real Estate Finance Co. B S C, Al Sharif Group WLL, and Al Ahlia Shipping Agencies.
Previously, he served as the Vice Chairman at Amwaj Islands Co. and as a Director at Depa PLC from 2008 to 2010.
