Adam FitzGerald is an operating advisor at Bessemer where he brings over 20 years of experience in developer relations, enterprise strategy, product marketing, and global expansion.
As the vice president of developer relations at HashiCorp, he leads all aspects of technical end user engagement.
This includes technical education through documentation, tutorials, demonstrations, and innovative video programming.
He is responsible for global developer advocacy and maintaining positive, productive engagement with HashiCorp's broad open source ecosystem of contributors, collaborators, and users.
He is also responsible for global technical events, both digital and in-person, like the company's flagship conference HashiConf.
Prior to HashiCorp, Adam was the head of worldwide developer relations at Amazon Web Services.
At AWS he conceived, created, and grew multiple community programs designed to highlight cutting-edge developers and architects, fostered self-sufficient communities of passionate users, and introduced early career technical users to cloud computing.
He also built and grew the technical evangelism team to reach over 500,000 developer interactions each year.
After recognizing the changes in media consumption, he created AWS's online live streaming strategy and launched the company's Twitch channel, reaching over ten million views.
In addition to his work with developers, he led the startup marketing team focused on helping early stage companies use the cloud and the enterprise strategy team focused on assisting C-level executives remove barriers to cloud adoption in their companies.
