Mr. Barnaby J.
Levin is a Partner & Managing Director at HighTower Advisors LLC.
He focuses on developing goal-based investment management and financial planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals and their families.
He has over 30 years of financial services experience.
Prior to HighTower, Mr. Levin was a Director of Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, where he also served as a Senior Advisor in the Citi Family Office and was the Senior Portfolio Manager on Smith Barney's largest corporate services team.
Starting at Kidder, Peabody in 1987 in their Private Client Group, he worked with wealthy families and senior executives of publicly-traded companies, where he spearheaded their efforts in 10b5-1 planning and Risk Management.
Mr. Levin spent his first post-graduate years working for Triad Systems, one of Silicon Valley’s fastest-growing, high-tech startups – where he consistently led in sales and helped senior management at more than 130 companies increase profits and productivity in every aspect of their business.
He opened offices in Atlanta, Miami and Los Angeles, where he was bitten by the actor's bug and, over the next five years, studied with famed director Milton Katselas; at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and appeared on stage and daytime television in LA, New York and London.
Mr. Levin earned his Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College in 1978 where he graduated cum laude in Comparative Literature and a minor in Pre-Med.
He has been affiliated with some of the country's most highly-regarded economists and business leaders at Stanford University's Institute of Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) where, in 2003, he was nominated to SIEPR's Board of Directors, on which he continues to actively serve.
He has written numerous articles and papers regarding portfolio strategy, the markets and on our rapidly changing global economy.
