Bosch Transmission Technology is market leader in the field of development and mass production of pushbelts for the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Since 1972 the company continuously invested in the further development of the pushbelt. In the meantime Bosch Transmission Technology is accountable for numerous innovations in the field of CVT technology. Globally various players within the automotive industry use the products and services of Bosch Transmission Technology for a wide range of applications. The innovative transmission, originally a Dutch idea, has become an international success. After the start of mass production in 1985, the CVT grew from a niche to a mature mass market product. Total pushbelt production for example exceeded 2.2 million units in 2008. Also the prospects are positive. The continuously increasing demand for more economical cars and for lower CO2 emissions stimulates demand and therefore future growth. Momentarily more than 900 employees are working at Bosch Transmission Technology B.V. The competence centre in Tilburg is being supported by specialized satellite offices in Farmington Hills (VS), Shanghai (China), Shibuya (Japan) and the second production location in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
