The firm's proprietary devices integrate microelectronics and miniature optical sensors to calculate and display real time measurements of implant position and alignment, enabling surgeons to more accurately perform joint replacements. Its flagship product, intellijoint HIP, is for guiding hip replacement, and the same technology will be applied to knee replacement and other surgical procedures. The company was founded by Armen Bakirtzian, Richard Fanson and Andre Hladio in 2010 and is headquartered in Waterloo, Canada.
