Fern J. Hordern

Ms. Fern J.
Hordern is a Director at Smith & Williamson Investment Management LLP.
She began her career as a Graduate Trainee with Foreign & Colonial Asset Management.
After just two years, she became an Institutional Fund Manager, looking after £100m in Japanese equity pension funds/unit trusts.
In March 1999, she joined Smith & Williamson as a Private Client Fund Manager on a team managing £200m of private client portfolios.
She later relocated to Birmingham, assuming positions as Head of the Birmingham investment team at Williams de Broë, and latterly, as an Investment Director at Singer & Friedlander Investment Management.
She rejoined Smith & Williamson in June 2006 and is primarily involved in the management of portfolios for private clients, trusts and charities.
Ms. Hordern graduated from Somerville College, Oxford, where she read Classics and Modern Languages.
