Satara Co-operative Group Ltd. is engaged in the post harvest operations for the kiwifruit and avocado industries. The company operates in four segments: Post Harvest, Orchard, Grower Services and Support Services. The Post Harvest segment provides fruit, packing, cool storage and associated activities to the kiwifruit and avocado industries. The Orchard segment provides orchard contracting and management services to the kiwifruit industry and also leases kiwifruit orchards under short term lease contracts. The Grower Services segment includes liaison and support of the grower supply base, marketing and business development initiatives. The Support Services segment incorporates all business support activities including finance, information technology, human resources, technical and quality functions.
