John Beaton

Mr. John Beaton is a partner at Discovery Investment Fund Ltd.
in the United Kingdom.
He was the founder of Kolfor Plant Ltd, which became a major supplier of plant services to the North Sea Oil & Gas Industry and worldwide.
He was Chairman and Managing Director of Kolfor Plant for 31 years up to when the company was acquired by Atlas Copco Sweden in 2004.
Since then he has actively invested in several new companies including Dundee Cell Products Ltd, of which he joined the board in 2007.

Mr. Beaton also obtained an award of MBE (Member of the British Empire).
He is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Abertay and was the recipient of the UK Offshore Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000.
