Kim Davis-King

Ms. Davis-King joined Hercules in September 2007.
Prior to that, she consulted for a Southern California-based venture capital firm.
Ms. Davis-King is a seasoned venture capitalist with over 13 years of venture investing experience and has invested in more than a dozen early-stage IT investments.
From 1997 to 2006 she was a partner at IDG Ventures.
During this time, she led multiple investments and supported several others, all in software and technology infrastructure.
Promoted to General Partner in 1999 she went on to open the Seattle office for IDG Ventures in 2000 and lead investments totaling over $35M.
Ms. Davis-King has also served on the board of directors or board observer seats for many technology companies, including Networks (FFIV) and VA Linux (LINUX), Virtual Ink (acquired by Standard Brands), Digital Persona, Quova, PlanSoft (acquired by StarCite), Newmerix and Wild Tangent.
Prior to joining IDG Ventures, she was an Associate at BankAmerica Ventures, a VC fund located in the Bay Area.
As an associate there, Kim specialized in Internet, software and networking investments.
She has also served as a product manager in the Multimedia Publishing Group at Microsoft.
She spent four years as a consultant at Andersen Consulting, a leader in information technology consulting firm, where she specialized in advanced technology.
As one of the youngest promoted senior consultants, she developed marketing, sales, and business strategies for software companies, and set strategies for Andersen's image processing initiatives.
Ms. Davis-King holds a B.S.
in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and a M.B.A.
from the Harvard Business School.
She sits on a couple non-profit boards including the Harvard Business School Alumni Club of San Diego.
