Patrick Malone

Mr. James P.
Malone is a Chief Compliance Officer at Oakview Capital Management LP.
He has over 18 years of experience and brings an extensive background across multiple facets of the investment management industry to his role at Oakview.
He spends the majority of his time managing the firm’s operations and infrastructure, including working with the firm’s service providers, hiring and facilitating investor relations.
In addition, he serves as a member of the investment team where he contributes to the fundamental research process on individual positions.
Before founding Oakview Capital Management in October 2007, Mr. Malone helped establish and launch Cornet Creek Capital, a hedge fund managed by the Vaughn Family office in Dallas.
Prior to Cornet Creek, he led due diligence efforts in middle market M&A transactions for Merit Capital, a Houston-based private equity firm.
He began his career with Hambric Sports Management where he represented PGA tour players.
Mr. Malone graduated from the University of Texas at Austin where he lettered on the men’s golf team.
