Peter C. Jones

Prior to joining Darby Overseas Investment in 1998, Mr. Jones held senior investment banking positions in Latin America, serving as Head of the Latin American Strategic Transactions Group of West Merchant Bank (a subsidiary of WestLB), CEO of Vectomex (a New York-based broker-dealer owned by Pulsar Group of Mexico), and Head of Morgan Stanley & Co's Latin America Group in the Investment Banking area.
Previously, he spent over eleven years in principal investing at the International Finance Corporation, rising from investment officer to divisional manager and becoming the founding Head of IFC's Corporate Finance Services Department.
Having begun his career as an analyst-consultant in operations research, he served as Financial Advisor and Professor at the Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia.
Mr. Jones holds a BA with honors in Economics and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received the UNC Academic Exchange Scholarship (at the Universidad de Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia), and holds an MA in Economics from McGill University.
He also completed advanced graduate studies in Economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received the Julian Price Insurance Scholarship and the NICHD Fellowship awards.
