Peter McClelland

In his role as Director, Peter is involved in the origination, execution and management of private equity investments across North America.
Since joining OMERS Private Equity in April 2015, Peter has worked on a number of transactions, including the acquisition of Forefront Dermatology, the sale of Give & Go Prepared Foods and MatrixCare, as well as several significant add-on acquisitions at both Forefront Dermatology and MatrixCare.
Peter is also involved with OMERS asset management efforts at Forefront Dermatology, and previously for Give & Go Prepared Foods and MatrixCare.
Prior to joining OMERS, Peter was part of the investment banking division at Scotiabank, where he covered large consumer product and retail companies across North America.
He was involved in Sobeys’ acquisition of Canada Safeway in 2013, and Cara’s initial public offering in 2015, among several other transactions.
Peter holds a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Kinesiology from Western University, and an MPhil in Management from the University of Cambridge.
