Rajat Tandon

Rajat is a Director & National Head - Brand Estate with over 22 years of experience.
In his current role, he heads real estate investments for The Times Group across India.
Prior to joining The Times Group, Rajat was a Managing Director & India Head at Proprium Capital Partners, a global, opportunistic private equity fund spun out of Morgan Stanley Real Estate with a focus on investing growth capital in real estate operating platforms.
Prior to joining Proprium, Rajat was a Director and Head of Acquisitions at India Real Estate Partners, a private equity fund co-founded by the former Asia head and India head of Morgan Stanley Real Estate.
Prior to India Real Estate Partners, Rajat served as a Vice President in the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing Group.
With a focus on investing in India, Rajat worked extensively on all aspects of private equity investment including sourcing, pricing, transaction structuring and execution of post-closing growth strategies.
He played a significant role in several investments by creating value and also served on the Board of various portfolio companies with active involvement in strategic planning and decision-making resulting in successful exits.
Rajat was previously with ICICI Venture, one of India’s largest domestic Private Equity firms, where he worked on multiple deals covering buy-outs and minority stake investments across sectors.
Rajat received a Master in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of Delhi.
He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
