Sanjoy Paul

Sanjoy joined WhenU in February 2005 as Chief Technology Officer.
Prior to WhenU, Sanjoy was a Research Director at Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies.
Prior to joining Bell Labs in 2001, Sanjoy was the CTO of Edgix, a start-up in the caching and content distribution space.
Before that he was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff in Lucent Technologies and AT&T Bell Labs Research, where he was the chief architect and visionary of Lucent's IPWorX (later called imminet) caching and content distribution product line.
Sanjoy has over fifteen years of technology expertise, specifically in the areas of content distribution, caching, streaming, security, and multicasting.
He holds 20 U.S patents, 35 others pending.
Sanjoy is a Fellow of the IEEE, an ex-editor of IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, and an adjunct faculty of WINLAB at Rutgers University.
Sanjoy received his Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, and his M.S and Ph.D from University of Maryland at College Park.
He will also have an M.B.A.
from the Wharton Business School in May, 2005.
