Ms. Shalini Samuel is ESG Research Associate at AMP Capital Investors Ltd.
She joined the ESG Research Team in Sydney in the role of ESG Research Associate in July 2013 to assist in proxy voting as part of the expansion of the team’s research capability and to provide ESG advice and oversight for externally managed funds.
Ms. Samuel has a strong background in ESG research gained through experience in engagement with Australian and Asian companies.
She previously conducted ESG research at the Sustainable Investments Research Institute (SIRIS), predominantly focused on ESG analysis and proxy voting on Australian, Chinese and Southeast Asian companies.
Prior to her role at SIRIS, Ms. Samuel conducted project-based research at Monash University and Victoria University while also providing sustainability reporting research to the Monash Sustainability Institute.
She holds graduate qualifications in Chinese translation and has worked as a translator in business, legal and medical fields while simultaneously teaching Chinese translation at RMIT University.
Ms. Shalini holds a Masters of Environmental Science from Monash University and a BA(Hons) majoring in Political Science and Anthropology
