Sharmila Gopinath

Ms. Sharmila Gopinath is Research Director at Asian Corporate Governance Association Ltd.
Ms. Gopinath joined ACGA in 2005 and worked on a full-time basis until December 2012, when she moved to India.
She continues to work for the Association as our Research Director, India.
She is a former journalist with a background in business writing and editing.
During her career she has worked in Hong Kong, New York and Singapore, covering topics such as information technology, general business and finance.
From 2000-2001 she reported for Computer Times in Singapore.
She began her journalistic career as a reporter for the Hong Kong Standard in the mid-80s.
Ms. Gopinath holds a BA in English from the University of Northern British Columbia, Prince George.
