Kuroda Electric Co., Ltd. engages in the processing, sale, import, and export of electrical materials, electronic components, semiconductors, and other machinery equipment. Its operations are carried out through the following business divisions: Trading, Development and Manufacturing, Data Storage, Automotive Manufacturing and Processing; and Others. The Trading division engages in the sale, import and export of electronic components, electric materials, and other products procured from suppliers in Japan and overseas to domestic and international customers primarily in the electronics and automotive industries. The Development and Manufacturing division manufactures and sells ultrasonic soldering devices using special technologies as well as assembling and inspection of equipment for hard disk drives. The Data Storage division engages in the production of data storage components. The Automotive Manufacturing and Processing division manufactures and sells metal molds, aluminum die-casting products, metal pressed parts, plastic molded products for two and four-wheel vehicles and others. The Others division engages in the manufacturing and sale of materials for electric facilities and electric power plants to power companies, electric construction companies, and telecommunications carriers. The company was founded by Zenichiro Kuroda in October 1945 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
