William J. Biter

Dr. William J.
Biter is an Advisor at Ben Franklin Technology Partners.
He founded Sensortex, Inc. in 1994.
He is a physicist with many years experience in the area of growth and characterization of both active and passive thin films and has 10 patents and has had 20 papers published in the field of thin films and optical coatings.
Prior to Sensortex, he was previously employed by Damaskos, Inc of Chadds Ford, Pa., a military R&D company, as Vice-President.
Before joining Damaskos, he was employed at Standard Oil Company of Ohio as a Technical Specialist in charge of the photovoltaic program.
Previously, he was employed as Senior Scientist at the Westinghouse R&D Center in Pittsburgh.
He serves on the Physical Sciences Technology Advisory Committee for Ben Franklin Technology Partners.
Dr. Biter received his PhD from the University of Delaware in l97l.
He is a member of the American Physical Society, Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu.
