Alain Bastin

Mr. Alain Bastin is a Chief Executive Officer & Conducting Officer at BIL Manage Invest SA. He is one of the founders of BMI and is today the Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
He has over 28 years of experience in various executive positions in the Banking and Fund industry, with a specific focus on Risk Management and Audit.
He joined BIL Group in 2001 as Head of Market & Operational Risk Management until 2013.
Before, he has been heading the Risk Management and Audit Department of ING between 1993 and 2001.
As a member of the GFI Committee of CSSF, he has also an active role in the regulatory landscape of Luxembourg.
He is a founding member of ALRIM and has been the Chairman of ALRIM between 2000 and 2005, and also a Board member for 20 years.
He is also acting as Board Member for different internal and external alternative structures.
