Amanda Walker is Director of Corporate Resources at the London Pensions Fund Authority and the appointed Chief Financial Officer with specific responsibility for financial management.
The wider resources role encompasses all LPFA indirect services; planning and performance, human resources, marketing and communications, technology and facilities.
Prior to joining the LPFA, she held a number of senior finance and operational roles in both the public and private sector;
After qualifying as an accountant an early career in the insurance sector was spent in accounting and investment for life and non-life insurance funds.
The ensuing years at Kent County Council included initiating a major re-organisation of the pension fund set alongside new performance reporting and integrated information systems.
Then as Head of the Corporate Finance Unit, financial research, major projects and local taxation were amongst a number of funding challenges set in an authority-wide role.
The latter years at Kent CC were spent in general management spanning devolved finance and across central support functions.
She has a BSc from London University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
