Ballingal is Chief Investment Officer & Portfolio Manager at Ballingal Investment Advisors Ltd.
He is on the Board of Directors at Euromoney Institutional Investor Plc.
Mr. Ballingal has extensive Asia-Pacific investment experience and has significant involvement for over 20 years as an advisor, investor and partner in hedge & absolute return investment funds.
After being trained as a commodity and mining analyst, he worked as an Investment Analyst for Asia Pacific markets in 1984, as a Chief Strategist in Japan from 1987 to 1993 and ultimately as a Director for Global Strategy all at Barclays / BZW based in Tokyo and London.
After that, he joined Sloane Robinson (London) as a Partner in 1994, at NatWest Hong Kong as a Chief Strategist for Asia Pacific market in 1996, at Schroders as an Investment Director for Asia Pacific in 1997 and at TAL in 2000.
He was also a Director-Asia Pacific at Ruffer LLP in 2003 of which he launched & ran the Ruffer Pacific Fund until 2006.
He graduated from Oxford University in 1982 with a BA (Honors) in Modern Languages.
