Cathy Kang

Ms. Cathy Kang is a Consultant at CRU International Co. Ltd.
She joined CRU Beijing as a cost analyst in March 2016 and has more than seven years’ experience in commodities analysis.
Before joining CRU, Cathy Kang worked at AZ China as a market analyst, specialising in aluminium and raw materials, and also spent four years at Joy Global, a US-based, top level mining equipment company, as senior strategic market analyst working on the Chinese coal market.
She also has 2 years’ experience as a chemical engineer at IBIDEN.
She also has significant experience of cost modelling and now covers costs analysis for the Steel team’s suite of cost models including steel, metallurgical coal, iron ore and manganese ore.
In addition, she is responsible for the Chinese thermal coal market and costs and silicon metal market and costs.
Ms. Kang has a degree in Chemical Engineering & Technology from North University, China.
